“Soul Eater” is the debut release of the brand new netlabel Random Manifestations. It is a split by the owners of the label Julia Van Der Piller & Hinamizawa Syndrome. This is their first manifest to the sonic world and for sure it is one filled with uncompromising experimentation. The compositions can be classified as noise / dark ambient / drone but surely there is more. The opening tracks are Julia van der Piller’s. In around 8 minutes of shattered pulsations and somehow intoxicating rhythmical structures her music leads us to our very end. Her harsh and in the same time addictive sound grabs you just to take you and leave you nowhere. Then we’re embraced by another 8 minutes in another world, the world of endless drones and distorted soundscapes that form the disturbing static ambience of Hinamizawa Syndrome. What unites the four compositions in the split is that feeling of desolation, the feeling of being a fragment of something immense and yet abandoned. So if you feel like experimenting with your presence, let the Soul Eater in.
